I'm setting-up my HP Envy Officejet Pro 6230 Printer. However, I do not have the Set-Up Cartridges.I have installed genuine 935 HP ink cartridges but the set-up process is stuck at the stage to 'Use the Set-Up Cartridges...' which I do not have.

Hi @Margo121,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your printer is expecting the setup cartridges that typically come with new printers. Since you’ve installed genuine 935 ink cartridges, here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Check Cartridge Installation: Make sure that the genuine 935 cartridges are installed correctly. Remove and reinsert them to ensure a proper connection.
Power Cycle the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
Reset the Printer:
- With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.
Use the Printer's Control Panel: If your printer has a control panel, try navigating to the setup menu and see if there's an option to bypass the setup cartridge requirement.
Unfortunately, setup cartridges often contain a chip that communicates with the printer for initial setup, and some models won’t proceed without them.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Good day,
I was expecting to get info on how to do an OOBE reset and re-initialize the printer as this is the solution I am seeing for most people without the setup cartridges.
However, I will try what you have suggested.
