On win10 computer I had a shortcut to access HP software. When I used Laplink software to copy programs onto the new PC which had Win11 on it, the HP software shortcut disappeared. How can I install my 5745 on the new computer?

Hi @RCRohrdanz,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
We understand that after transferring your programs from a Windows 10 PC to a Windows 11 system using Laplink, your HP printer software shortcut disappeared. We're here to help you get your HP OfficeJet 5745 e-All-in-One Printer properly set up again.
Recommended Steps to Reinstall Printer Software
To ensure full functionality (print, scan, etc.), please install the latest HP drivers and software for your printer:
- Go to the official HP driver page:
📎 HP OfficeJet 5745 e-All-in-One Printer Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support - Select Windows 11 as your operating system (if not auto-detected).
- Download the HP Easy Start or Full Feature Software and Driver.
- Once downloaded:
- Run the installer
- Follow the on-screen prompts to reconnect your printer to Wi-Fi and complete the installation.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
