HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

My HP Envy 7100 series printer has been stuck on the loading screen and the on/off button does not respond to being pushed. I have tried unplugging it for 60 seconds, plugging it back in, and the reboot starts and stalls on the HP screen with the dots. I tried leaving it unplugged overnight, no luck.  I've restarted my router while the printer was unplugged, but I get the same result when plugging it back in. The computer doesn't even register that the printer is on. Help!

Hi @Je4nsly,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing an issue with your printer.

A) Please follow the steps below to perform a power drain on the printer.

1) Take out the cartridges

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges

B) Kindly refer to the steps on this link and let me know if that fixes the issue.

I have followed your instructions as well as the ones on the site you linked.

The printer is still not moving past this screen. Is there some way I can boot the printer from an SD card and downgrade the firmware?

Thanks.

Hello - I'm having the same issue and I have followed the above instructions to no avail. Please advise.

Hi again - any tips?

Unfortunately, I don't have any tips to give. I've tried the things that were suggested (except for physically calling them) but nothing has worked and it's still just stuck. Ended up buying a cheap printer in the interim. Really wish it could be fixed though.

Could you send steps also to me? my Envy 7130 also stuck in logo an first blue dot ON.
