Hi @KYmBee,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

I understand that you are having issues with the connectivity.

Make sure, your printer and your device are on the same network as 2.4GHZ only.

This could be a compatibility issue with your current OS.

Is it a private (Home network) or a public Wi-Fi connection? Wi-Fi direct? Or Hotspot?
What device are you using the printer with a Windows computer, Mac, Android, or iPhone?

If your HP LaserJet M209dw printer is showing a flashing orange light after connecting to your new Wi-Fi network, it usually indicates that there's an issue with the printer's connection or status. Here are steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

**1. Check Printer Status:

  • Consult the Printer’s Manual:
    • The flashing orange light can signify various issues. Refer to the printer’s manual or HP support website for specific meanings of the light patterns.

**2. Verify Wi-Fi Connection:

Check Wi-Fi Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your new Wi-Fi network. You can print a network configuration page to check the connection status:
    1. Access Printer Menu: Use the printer's control panel to navigate to the Network or Wireless settings.
    2. Print Network Configuration Page: Look for an option like Print Network Configuration Page or Print Network Report.

Reconfigure Wi-Fi Settings:

  • If the Wi-Fi connection is incorrect or not set up properly, you may need to reconfigure the Wi-Fi settings on your printer. Follow the steps to connect your printer to the Wi-Fi network:
    1. Access Wireless Setup: On the printer's control panel, go to Wireless Setup or Network Setup.
    2. Select Network: Choose your new Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the password.

**3. Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Update Firmware:
    • Outdated firmware can sometimes cause connectivity issues. Check for and install any available firmware updates for your printer:
      1. Visit HP Support Website: Go to the HP Support website and search for your printer model.
      2. Download Updates: Download and install the latest firmware updates.

**4. Restart Devices:

  • Restart Printer and Router:
    • Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source. Do the same for your Wi-Fi router. Wait for about 30 seconds, then plug them back in and turn them on.

Please find the remaining steps in the next post.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

      2. Reset Network Settings: Look for an option to reset or restore network settings to default.
