@Obg24, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP OfficeJet Pro 9129e All-in-One Printer stopped working after a recent firmware update. Let’s work together to get it back up and running.

Power Cycle the Printer

This simple step can often resolve post-update glitches:

  • Turn off the printer using the Power button.
  • Unplug it from the wall for 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.

Open and Close the Front Door

This action can reset internal sensors:

  • Open the front access door (where you change ink cartridges).
  • Close it securely and wait for the printer to initialize.

Try a Test Print

  • From your PC, try printing a simple document.
  • If it still fails, proceed to the next step.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
