Hi, I have a HP LaserJet Pro 4003dn printer, which was working fine with my windows 7 machine, but God knows why, I decided to update it's firmware, as it was available on the hp website. I downloaded and tried to install it on the printer.
Now my printer is stuck with a massage on its LCD which says "Verifying", and nothing happens neither the massage goes away nor i can print or do any thing with this printer. Though the firmware update application after some 20 minutes came up with a massage that the printer firmware could not be updated, which i closed.
I have done all my best to resolve this issue but it remains where it was.
I have tried multiple restarts of the printer and PC.
There wasn't any power failure or sudden system shutdown etc. If you ask.
I have tried restarting the PC, the printer, changed the cable, replaced the cartridge.
Nothing works.
Please all you guys help me.
My PC is a Dell Optiplex 3010, running windows 7 64bit.
All my tries on hp support page and hp AI chatbot and others have done nothing for help.

Guys I don't know what had happened with my HP LaserJet Pro 4003dn in the middle of a firmware update, but I was able to resolve my "Verifying" only screen problem just by pushing the "X" or cancel button for a couple of seconds and it showed "cancelling" on the LCD and rebooted. Now it's back to normal. Working as before. Though I still want to update its firmware, but I think this worm inside me should be treated by some other medicines. Hahaha.
I had the same word by word problem on a HP laserjet Pro M402d two years ago but back than I had no idea to push the "X" button to cancel all firmware update and "Verifying" error.
And believe my guys, I had to spend nearly 50 dollars US to make it working when a bloody technician told me that its main board got corrupted. Oh My!
Good to be with all you guys. Hope this community goes on and on.
Thanks a lot for all your help and support.
