Hi @ABLC77

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

Please try these steps:

How to Print in Color:

  1. Open the Print Dialog Box: Start by selecting "Print" from your document.
  2. Find the Black and White Option: Look for a checkbox that says "Print in Black and White."
  3. Uncheck the Box: If the box is checked, click on it to uncheck it.
  4. Print Your Document: Now, click "Print" to print in color.

Please note that there isn't a separate checkbox for color, so unchecking the black and white option is necessary. Thank you for your understanding!

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

Hi Raj. Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately your suggestion didn't work and after searching the internet for some time, I discovered this is a common problem with Macs and this printer. A lengthy, but ultimately successful, online chat via the HP Smart app with an HP customer service agent did the trick.
