Here are some steps and insights to help resolve the issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e not downloading updates on macOS 15:
Restart Devices:
- Power off your printer and Mac.
- Wait 30 seconds, then power them back on.
Check Internet Connection:
- Ensure the printer is connected to Wi-Fi (solid blue light on the printer indicates a stable connection).
- Try printing a Network Configuration Page from the printer to verify connectivity.
Update via HP Smart App:
- Download or update the HP Smart app from the Mac App Store.
- Open the app, add your printer, and check for firmware updates from within the app.
Manual Firmware Update:
- Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
- Enter your printer model: HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e.
- Select macOS 15 as your OS.
- Download the latest firmware and follow the on-screen instructions to install it manually.
Reset Printing System (if needed):
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Right-click (or Control-click) in the printer list and choose Reset printing system.
- Re-add your printer and try the update again.
