@Al055, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Printing half-pages can be due to several factors, such as incorrect paper size settings, driver issues, or hardware malfunctions. Here are some steps to help you resolve this issue:

Check Paper Size Settings:

  • Ensure that the paper size settings on your printer match the actual size of the paper loaded in the tray.
  • You can adjust these settings in the printer's control panel or in the print settings on your computer.

Update Printer Driver:

  • Outdated printer drivers can cause communication issues that result in printing errors. To update your printer driver:
  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for the HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2777.
  • Follow the installation instructions to update your printer drivers.

Inspect Ink Cartridges:

  • Make sure that ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink. Check the cartridges for any damage or improper installation.
  • Run a cartridge cleaning cycle from the printer's software to ensure the nozzles are not clogged.

Check Paper Feed Mechanism:

  • Remove the paper from the input tray and reload it, ensuring that it is correctly aligned. Sometimes paper misalignment can lead to printing errors.
  • Clear any jams in the paper feed area.

Printer Reset:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it for a few minutes; this helps reset the printing system. Plug it back in and power it up again.

Align Ink Cartridges:

  • Use the HP Printer Assistant or control panel to align the ink cartridges. Proper alignment can improve print quality.

Mobile Printing Issues:

  • If you're using mobile printing solutions, ensure that the connection between your device and printer is stable.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
