Product: HP ENVY Photo 7855 All-in-One Printer

My printer always defaults to the photo tray when I try to print a pdf document and I am not seeing any page setup options to fix this permanently! So frustrating!

In the printer control panel, open the paper tray settings and make the tray you want to use the default/main tray.

Additionally, in the device you print from, there is an option to change the default paper tray. What is the operating system of your device, and have you installed the full drivers of the printer?

I am on Mac OS Monterey 12.6.3

 

I have done all you suggested - this only seems to happen when I print a pdf file.
