My printer doesn’t show up to put in my password on WiFi to set up.

I was having a problem connecting between my iPhone and my printer to make copies. I’ve done it before. So I reset my printer (possibly a bad idea) and now looks like I need to set up as if a new printer but don’t know how to I can do everything but my printer doesn’t register as connected. I don’t have a paid WiFi per se but get WiFi through my T-Mobile plan . I’ve made copies before by going to WiFi in settings and my HP ENVY 6000 series comes up and I put in password and I’m connected.

If you signed up for instant ink or any of the plus features your printer needs to be online. Otherwise all you need to do is print directly to the printer and bypass the router.

You mentioned you do not have paid Wi-Fi so I assume you print directly to the printer and there is no need for the printer to "phone home"

Wi-Fi reset steps

1. Turn off the printer and open the cartridge door
2. On the backside, press both Wi-Fi Button and Power Key
3. Hold both keys down for 3 seconds

Wi-Fi direct setup: Print directly to the printer not using the modem. Watch this video.
Your envy 6000 only uses the 2.4ghz band. If that band (the Wi-Fi  direct SSID) does not show up in HP Smart then your phone needs to be on the 2.4ghz band. Most new smartphone can handle both bands.

You may need to do a factory reset if the above does not work

Thank you BeemerBiker for helping. I did get ahold of a nice man at HP who helped me figure it out. Your explanation of me not needing WiFi was very good. My solution was in how to turn WiFi Direct on because I had reset (back of printer button) in trying to solve my issue. 
Solution: Press the information button for 3 seconds until all buttons are lit. Then press the Information, Cancel, and Resume buttons at the same time. (briefly, do not hold)

Bingo. All fixed. I then went on to how I would normally make a copy.
