HP DeskJet 3755 All-in-One Printer

My printer has been printing SUPER faded or no ink is coming out at all despite it being a full cartridge, i have tried restarting it and resetting it, the only thing i have not been able to try is checking for firmware updates because it says it requires an admin password. I am the one who set up this printer, never set up an admin password, there is no reason this feature should be locked and i have not been able to get ahold of anyone, or get anyone at HP to respond to any messages or feedback. This is the most frustrating thing and not even a guaranteed solution for my problem.

Hi @Macie8,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I completely understand how frustrating it must be to deal with printing issues and feel locked out of solutions, especially when you haven't set any admin password. It can be incredibly annoying when you're trying to get your printer to work and you can't seem to find the help you need.

I'm here to assist you in resolving this situation!

The password you're looking for is the Wifi Direct password.

To turn Wi-Fi Direct on or off On the printer control panel, press the Wi-Fi Direct button.

● When Wi-Fi Direct is turned on, the Wi-Fi Direct light is on steady.

To find the Wi-Fi Direct name and password, press the Information button to print a printer information page.

NOTE: When you turn on Wi-Fi Direct the first time, the printer automatically prints a Wi-Fi Direct guide. The guide provides instructions about how to use Wi-Fi Direct. After that, you can press the Wi-Fi Direct button  and the Information button  together to print the Wi-Fi Direct guide. The guide may not be available in all languages.

● When Wi-Fi Direct is turned off, the Wi-Fi Direct light is off.

Refer to the guide, page 63: Click here

You may click here to update the firmware by selecting your current OS version.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

I think you completely misunderstood my issue. In the OS application the option to search for firmware updates is locked and requires an admin password, it has nothing to do with WIFI, also even if it did, my printer is printing blank pages, therefore trying to print the wifi direct page with instructions does not work since no ink is coming out of the full cartridges.

I was able to figure out on my own that the admin password was the pin number that is located inside the ink door (no help from HP on figuring that out) and i did check for firmware updates and my printer is up to date, so i'm back to square one to try to figure out why my printer won't print with full cartridges.

Hi @Macie8,

Appreciate your efforts. Have you replaced the cartridges and were you facing the same issue when making a copy?

If possible, kindly share the snapshot of the errors you are getting.
