@maburton, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Offline Printer Issues for HP ENVY 5660 on Windows 11!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It's frustrating when your HP ENVY 5660 e-All-in-One Printer shows as offline, but I'm here to help you get it back online. Here is a step-by-step guide to troubleshooting:
Verify Connections:
- Ensure that the printer is connected to the same wireless network as your computer.
- Check the wireless or Ethernet connection of your printer if it's connected via a network cable.
Restart Your Devices:
- Turn off your printer and your computer.
- Unplug the power cable from the printer.
- Wait for about 60 seconds and then plug the power cable back in.
- Turn on your printer and computer again.
Check Printer Status:
- On your Windows 11 computer, go to the "Devices and Printers" section. You can find this by typing "Control Panel" into the Windows Search bar, then selecting "Devices and Printers".
- Right-click on your HP ENVY 5660 printer icon and see if "Use Printer Offline" is checked. If it is, click it to uncheck this option.
Set as Default Printer:
- In the "Devices and Printers" section, right-click your HP printer and select "Set as Default Printer".
- Ensure the correct printer is selected as the default printer.
Restart the Print Spooler Service:
- Press the Windows + R keys, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- In the list, find Print Spooler, right-click and select Restart.
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor to automatically find and fix issues with your HP printer.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
