Microsoft Windows 11

Printer not responding on my computer, it is turned on but my computer says it's offline.

Been struggling with this for hours.

Any quick fix or something? It is connected by usb because the wireless connection also doesn't work.

Plus it prints blank papers.

It is a trash at the momment.

I use a Envy 5642.

Please help!

@Spiticia, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand you are not able to print from your computer. Let us try the below steps to resolve this issue:

Are you using the HP Smart app to print?

Check for any updates or reinstall the app.

Do you want to continue with the USB connection or convert it to wireless?

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.

If the printer is printing blank pages, perform the steps mentioned in this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues

Check the ink levels, clean the ink cartridges and print a test page to check the result.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
