Hi @RK1238,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Envy Pro 6400 printer is registered under an email that differs from the one you're currently using on your new computer. To connect the printer to your new setup, follow these steps.

Reset the Printer's Network Settings

To ensure the printer is ready to connect to your new computer and email:

  • On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wi-Fi button and the Power button together for about 3-5 seconds.
  • Release the buttons when the Wi-Fi light starts blinking, indicating the printer is in Wi-Fi setup mode.

Re-register the Printer with the HP Smart App

  • Download and install the HP Smart App on your computer or mobile device from the HP Smart website if you haven’t already.
  • Open the HP Smart App and log in with your new email address.
  • Click Add Printer and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to your computer and Wi-Fi network.

Remove the Printer from the Old Email Account (Optional)

If you have access to the old email account:

  1. Log in to the HP Smart website at HP Smart Account.
  2. Remove the printer from the old account under Manage Devices.
  3. Add the printer to your new email account.

If you don’t have access to the old email, you can contact HP Customer Support to help unlink the printer from the old account.

Install the Printer on Your New Computer

Once the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners on your computer.
  • Click Add a printer or scanner, and select your HP Envy Pro 6400 when it appears.
  • Install the necessary drivers if prompted.

Test the Printer

  • Print a test page to confirm the setup is successful.
  • Open any document and select Print, ensuring your HP Envy Pro 6400 is selected as the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
