Hi @AngelJones,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet 3752 All-In-One Printer is asking for a custom password, and you don't remember setting one up, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue.
Default Password: Check if there is a default password set by the manufacturer. This information might be in the user manual or on the HP website. Common default passwords for printers are often "admin," "1234," or "password." Try these default options to see if they work.
Reset the Printer: If you can't find a default password, you may need to reset the printer to its factory settings. Keep in mind that doing this will erase any custom settings you may have configured. To reset the printer, follow these steps:
- a. Turn off the printer.
- b. Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons simultaneously.
- c. While holding both buttons, turn on the printer.
- d. Continue holding the buttons until the Power light starts to flash, indicating that the printer is resetting.
- e. Release the buttons.
Check the Network: If the password prompt is related to a network connection, make sure you're entering the correct Wi-Fi network password. The printer might be asking for the network password, not a printer-specific password.
Password Recovery: Some HP printers offer a password recovery feature. You can use the HP Smart app or the printer's web interface to recover or reset the password.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
