Hi @Nadira74
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your Deskjet 2823e is printing information sheets (like the Wi-Fi password) but not printing actual work, here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check Print Queue
- On your computer or mobile device, check if there are any stuck print jobs in the queue that might be blocking other jobs.
- For Windows: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click your printer, and select See what's printing. Cancel or restart any pending jobs.
- For macOS: Open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and check the print queue.
2. Ensure Correct Printer is Selected
- Make sure you are sending the print job to the correct printer. If you have multiple printers, it's possible the print job is being sent to the wrong one.
3. Check Connectivity
- Ensure your Deskjet 2823e is properly connected to the Wi-Fi network, and your device is on the same network.
- If using USB, check the connection and try using a different port or cable.
4. Update Printer Drivers or Software
- If you are printing from a computer, ensure you have the latest drivers installed.
- You can download and install the latest drivers for the Deskjet 2823e from HP’s website.
5. Test Print from a Different Device or App
- Try printing from a different device or app to see if the issue persists. This helps identify if the problem is with the printer or the specific app you are printing from.
6. Check for Printer Errors
- Check the printer’s control panel or app for any error messages (e.g., low ink, paper jam).
7. Reboot Printer and Device
- Turn off the printer and unplug it for a minute. Then power it back on.
- Restart your computer or mobile device as well.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
