Hi @BrotherDick

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that your printer is not printing documents sent from your computer. This  may occur if the printer is offline, the print spooler service is not functioning correctly, the printer driver is corrupted or outdated, or the computer is unable to communicate with the printer over the current connection. I would request you to please follow the steps:

Restart the Print Spooler

  • Press Windows key + R.
  • Type services.msc and press Enter.
  • Locate Print Spooler.
  • Right-click Print Spooler and select Restart.
  • Close the Services window.

Clear the Print Queue Manually

  • Press Windows key + R.
  • Type services.msc and press Enter.
  • Stop the Print Spooler service.
  • Open File Explorer and go to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS.
  • Delete all files in the folder.
  • Start the Print Spooler service again.

Restart Printer and Computer

  • Turn the printer off.
  • Restart the computer.
  • Turn the printer back on.
  • Send a new print job.

Set Printer as Default

  • Open Settings > Printers & scanners.
  • Select your printer.
  • Select Set as default.
  • Ensure Use Printer Offline is not enabled.

Reinstall the Printer

  • Open Settings > Printers & scanners.
  • Remove the printer.
  • Restart the computer.
  • Add the printer again using HP APP

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists Please share the printer model and the check if you see any error displayed. If so please share it.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
