Thank you for joining HP Forums.

This is a great place to get support, find answers to your technical queries.

I understand that the printer is not printing need not worry I'll be glad to assist you.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Is the wireless light blinking or steady?

Are the printer and the computer connected to the same network?

I suggest you do a Hard Reset

(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.

(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.

(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.

Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Use this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-envy-5530-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5304881/document/c0576... to connect the printer via wireless.

If the issue persists, I recommend you delete the driver at the root level and retry, follow the steps below:

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose `Delete' or `Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s")

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

Then, Click on this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-envy-5530-e-all-in-one-printer-series...  to download and install the printer drivers.

I sent a response but it was undeliverable, full mail box.

The wireless light is steady and the printer and the computer are connected to the same network.

The first fix did not work.

On the second suggestion, when I get to the Print Server Properties and click on remove I have a choice of remove driver only or remove driver and driver package.

Whichever I  choose when I then click OK I get a window asking if I'm sure, I click yes and then I get a window saying unable to remove HP Envy 5530. Specified printer driver is currently in use.

So the problem persists.

Thanks for keeping us posted

It looks like you were interacting with Raj1788, but he is out for the day & I'll be glad to help you out. I'm KrazyToad & I'm at your service.

Please perform the Printer Hard Reset once again, restart your computer and then try uninstalling the Printer driver from Root level again as instructed above

If the issue persists, try creating a New User Account, log in that Account and then uninstall the drivers from Root level.

  • Select the Start  button, then select Settings  > Accounts  > Family & other people > Add someone else to this PC

  • Enter a user name, password, password hint, and then select Next.

  • To make the new account an administrator account, select Start  > Settings  > Account  > Family & other people and select Change account type. Under Account type, select Administrator > OK. Restart your machine and sign in with the new administrator account.

Keep me posted how it goes

Thank you 😀

I am following the rabbit3's problem, and the solution by KrazyToad, since I am having the identical problem.

I have erased any mention of my PageWide 377 on devices&printers, add/remove programs, etc, BUT it will not delete the driver or driver package, despite multiple reboots, hard resets, and a new admin acct to do it all from.

What's next? My printer won't print, and I have no desire to reinstall Windows 10 to get around that problem.
