Hi @Vickey5
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It looks like your printer is rejecting encrypted print jobs, which can happen due to security settings or compatibility issues. Here’s how to fix it:
Troubleshooting Steps
Enable Secure Printing (If Available)
- Open Devices and Printers on your computer.
- Right-click your printer and select Printer Properties.
- Go to the Device Settings tab.
- Check if there’s an option for Allow Use of Secured Print—enable it if available.
Check Printer Encryption Settings
- Some printers require matching encryption settings between the computer and printer.
- Open your printer’s control panel and navigate to Network Settings.
- Ensure encryption is set to WPA2 or higher.
Reset Printer Network Settings
- On the printer, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore Network Defaults.
- Restart the printer and reconnect it to Wi-Fi.
Update Printer Firmware
- Outdated firmware can cause encryption errors.
- Visit your printer’s support page and download the latest firmware update.
Use HP Smart or Default Print Service
- If printing from a mobile device, ensure HP Print Service Plugin is enabled.
- Try printing through the HP Smart app instead of the default print service.
Let me know if any of these steps help!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
Regards,
