Hi @TJ33126,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e showing a “server’s security certificate cannot be validated” error. Let’s go through a few checks.

Check Date and Time on Printer

  1. On the printer screen, go to Setup (gear icon).
  2. Select “Preferences” or “Device Settings.”
  3. Open “Date & Time.”
  4. Ensure the date and time are correct.
  5. If incorrect, set them manually or enable automatic update.

Restart Network Connection

  1. Turn OFF the printer.
  2. Restart your Wi-Fi router.
  3. Wait until the network is fully stable.
  4. Turn the printer back ON.
  5. Reconnect it to the Wi-Fi network if needed.

Update Printer Firmware

  1. On the printer screen, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance.
  2. Select “Update the Printer” or “Check for Updates.”
  3. Install any available firmware updates.
  4. Allow the printer to restart automatically.
  5. Do not interrupt the update process.

Restore Web Services

  1. Go to Setup > Web Services.
  2. Select “Remove Web Services” or “Disable Web Services.”
  3. Restart the printer.
  4. Go back and select “Enable Web Services.”
  5. Follow on-screen steps to complete setup.

Reset Network Settings

  1. On the printer, go to Setup > Network Setup.
  2. Select “Restore Network Settings.”
  3. Confirm the reset.
  4. Reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi.
  5. Try accessing the feature again.

If the issue continues, let me know when the error appears (for example, during scanning to email or firmware update), so I can guide you more precisely.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

Best regards,

I'm an HP Employee.
