HP LaserJet M209dw Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm having an issue where attempting a factory reset fails and all the lights start blinking. I'd like to try to correct this by performing an NVRAM reset, but I understand the process is confidential. Is anyone able to message me about the process?

Thanks!

Hi @RussLLL

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To perform an NVRAM reset on your HP LaserJet M209dw, you typically follow a specific sequence. However, since HP considers some of these processes sensitive, I'll provide general guidance without going into too much detail. Here’s how to do it:

Steps for NVRAM Reset:

Turn Off the Printer: Power off your HP M209dw printer.

Press and Hold Specific Buttons:

  • While turning the printer back on, press and hold the “Cancel” button and the “Wireless” button at the same time.

Wait for the Reset Process:

  • Keep holding the buttons until the printer shows signs of restarting or the lights start blinking.

Release the Buttons:

  • Once you see the printer has powered up and the lights indicate a reset, release the buttons.

Complete the Setup:

  • After the reset, you may need to go through the initial setup process again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
