I still own a HP Photosmart e-All-in-One Printer - D110 and have the software for printing and scanning, but don't have it for Windows 11 which my laptop updated to. Could I have a version for Windows 11?

Thank you.

Thank you. So I was installing it and all going well, then it was unable to find it on the network. I decided to get a cable to see if it finds it using a cable and the same situation happens. Anybody knows what is happening?

Hi @ThomasGHarris

Thanks for following up. 😇

1. Ok, this could be happening because this printer model is a little bit old, maybe 10 years, and printers from that time was manufactured with a Wifi network card with only 2.4Ghz connection.

2. Right now the best choice is using a USB cable connection.

Yeah, no. As I said I did purchase a brand new cable and still won't be recognized.

I have it working on my old laptop under the same router, but that laptop can't upgrade to Windows 11 so it is stuck on Windows 10 were it works perfectly.

Windows itself is able to recognize it as Wireless and add it as a printer but I wanted to have it added as part of the Photosmart printer software but seems it won't be possible.

Hi @ThomasGHarris

1. Ok, thank you for providing more details about the printer issue not being recognized.

2. In Windows 11 there is another feature enabled that sometimes block printers to work as expected.

3. Check the Windows Protected printer mode in

  • Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners
  • and click button to Turn Off
  • ferRX_1-1776935284722.png

4. Then try again to connect your printer.

5. Also check if you have an Antivirus software installed because that is another cause for blocking printers on Windows.
