Need driver for Photosmart p 1000

I have an old working photosmart p1000  printer that I love. I know the drivers are out of date for windows 7 and I used the deskjet 930\935c and that worked fine for windows7 professional. Does anyone know what driver would work in windows 10? I know it's old and out of date but prints great maps or boarding passes, or receipts that are just going to get tossed. I connect thru the usb port manually but need a compatible driver from the new windows 10 list.

Yes  I know there are windows built in drivers, 50 or so, so does anyone know  which one works with the Photosmart P1000.  That printer is old and does not show on the list, neither does the 930/935c or  the deskjet 1225 which was listed before.  That is my question, I tried about 25 or so and got really tired of downloading a driver trying to print a page getting an error printed on paper sometimes scribbles, sometimes get devmgmt/productconfigcap   and wasting half a ream of paper. 

So if another employee might actually know which driver works with windows 10 to communicate with the photosmart p1000, that is my question. I know  how to connect with a usb, and populate the driver list, NO Photosmart P1000  deskjet 930/935c or deskjet 1225 shows up. I also know that there are a limited number of driver programs to run printers but i didn't want to go thru the 300 or so on the list, cannon, hp, dell, lexmark etc.

Any help would be appreciated and  as I have seen on the internet, many people don't want to ditch a perfectly working printer just because they don't know which driver to substitute.

Try the DeskJet 990c drivers 🙂
