I need the print driver for HP Laserjet 6P for Win10. I am connecting to the printer through a Workgroup. This works with my previous notebook that was updated to Win 10. Now that I have purchased a new HP Pavilion, I can find the HP Laserjet 6P through the network, but cannot find the correct "*.inf" file for installation. I have downloaded 2 different files from the Microsoft Update Catalog, but still not working for me. Error: Windows cannot connect to the printer (0x00000214). Does anyone have any suggestions for allowing me to access the Laserjet 6P through the Workgroup?

I also have the similar question. I had my 6P hooked up to my old Dell Studio 1558 via a Linksys wireless print server for the last 10 years. My wife has it hooked up same way for her Lenovo laptop (~ 2 years ago). I just got a new Lenovo laptop but the driver is no longer available from windows update. Can you find the .inf file on your older computer? If so try to use it for the driver on your new computer and select have disk (Copy it to a USB stick and try that, if that works let me know I am looking for a working .inf file for a windows 64bit)
I love my 6P and still want to use it, anyone with a working 6P .inf file or a driver please respond.

I finally got mine to work after hours of research. Add the printer then when you get to the driver screen run windows update, goto HP then use the driver for HP Laserjet 5200L Series PCL 5. It worked for me. I have my printer connected via a Linksys WPS54GU2 print server to my local network for all computers. Its a manual set up to configure for each computer but once done its good for life!
For background I am running a Lenovo Yoga 740 with Windows 10 x64 bit.
