Product: LaserJet1217nfwMFP
Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

HP doesn't seem to keep up with updated drivers for older LaserJet printers and now with my new MacBook Pro running Big Sur macOS 11.6 (20G165), I cannot print or scan or anything.   I download the printer driver and get a message saying."This volume does not meet the requirements for this update."

Now what????

I'd like to help!

 

I understand you are unable to find the printer drivers for your macOS

 

HP LaserJet Pro M1217nfw Multifunction Printer driver for macOS 11 is not available from the HP website or Apple Software Update. However, Gutenprint (formerly called Gimp-Print) provides open-source basic print drivers for many printers that would otherwise not be supported in Mac OS X. To see if your printer is supported, go to Gutenprint drivers for more information.

 

NOTE: Gutenprint drivers are not supported by HP or Apple.
