I have an HP Officejet 5740 e-all in one printer from 2014. I accidentally deleted the software for the printer off my computer thinking I can easily just reinstall it. Because my printer is from 2014, HP software I have tried to download and use a million times doesn't work. When I called HP, they said that there is no software available and I have to buy a new printer?! That seems nuts. I am trying to find the driver/software for the printer from approx. 2014 for a Mac operating system on Monterey.

1.  Please download and install  HP Printer drivers for MacOS from the next link:

2. And go to System Preferences > Printers then Add the printer.

* Click YES   to say thank you, 

* Click Accepted Solution when question is answered.

do you have the driver for an older version of a printer from 2014 that will work with the Monterey system 12.7.6? The new versions of the software don’t recognize the printer, and the old versions of the software are only run on older operating systems on a Mac

Ok, If that doesn´t work then try to install with the next driver for Mac:

>> https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

Unfortunately easy start doesn’t seem to be working on my computer at all. I keep ending up with the error messages over and over again. I’m just looking for other solution
