HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer

My OfficeJet Pro 7740  updated to a new firmware and is now rejecting my ink cartridges. Is there a place I can download the previous firmware installer to revert back? Before you ask, I am not using genuine ink, they are aftermarket. It seems counter intuitive to spend $500+ on a printer to spend $120 just for the ink for it. It would make more fiscal sense for me to go buy a new printer and not let it do automatic updates.

I have been a faithful buyer of hp printers but will no longer purchase hp printers if forced to pay the 3x cost of ink.

you are correct that you need to find a copy of the older firmware. Third party ink sellers often list them to assist their customers, so you may have to search around the internet.
