- Need to factory reset OJ 6978 without touchscreen

I cannot contact OJ Pro 6978 through it's IP address, and HP Smart cannot see the printer on the network any longer. The factory reset option under Printer Maintenance on the touchscreen menu shows that it has an administrator lock on it, but without the ability to reach the printer through a web browser I cannot unlock it any longer. I believe need instructions to factory reset the device without use of the touchscreen in order to reconnect it to the WiFi and install the printer to my computer using HP Smart, please.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
Let's perform a power drain:
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Remove the USB cable, if present.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
- Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
- Turn on the printer and wait till the warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle
Update the printer firmware
- Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your product
- Click here to know different methods of updating the printer firmware.
If the issue persists, then we have to perform a Semi Full Reset to unlock the features of the printer/Reset the password.
The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
