Officejet Pro 9015e all in one printer

I have forgotten the userid and password I used when setting up my printer several years ago and now I need to change my WiFi setup and it will not let me do so without the password.

I saw another post for this same model printer that said - On the control panel, press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons simultaneously for about five seconds. This should put the printer into maintenance mode.

That would not work for me. I have a small touch screen and I tried pressing both the WiFi menu symbol at the same time as I pressed the “backup arrow circle” which I would assume is the cancel button and did not get any result to access the maintenance mode screen.

I just want to reset the entire printer to factory defaults.  Can someone help please.

Hi @PapaGeg,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

Let's perform a semi-full reset to restore the printer back to its original settings.

The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instructions to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
