Hi @denstar2k,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I see that you are facing an issue with your Printer.
Kindly refer to the below information to troubleshoot and let me know if that resolves the issue.
The printer user name will be default as "admin" and you can try "admin" as the default password. If that does not work, then on the printer's backside, or someplace on the printer, you may look for a sticker which will have the password.
With previous firmware versions, the default username is admin (all lower case) and the default password is blank
With the latest printer firmware, the default username remains admin (all lower case), but the password is the WPS PIN Number of the printer.
To locate the WPS PIN Number, print a Network Configuration Report and locate the PIN Number within the WPS Information section.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a great day ahead!

Hi Irwin6,
Thanks for your answer!
I think i haven't explained the problem correctly. I changed the password from the web interface but when i try to login, the system refuses.
Tried to reset the printer, but the only thing that resets, are the wifi settings. I can't find out where to 'hard reset' the printer to get the standard configuration.

Hi @denstar2k,
I am sorry to hear that the above steps did not help much.
Please follow the steps below to connect your printer to the network again and that will reset the printer's EWS page password to default.
1) Uninstall the HP smart app by click on this link, Restart the computer or mobile device to clear possible error conditions.
2) Enable Wi-Fi setup mode: When you turn on your printer for the first time, it is temporarily placed in Wi-Fi setup mode so that it can be discovered during setup. Use the printer control panel to restore Wi-Fi setup mode, and then set up the printer again. Go to Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on your HP printer for more information.
3) Refer to this link to use the HP smart app on your phone/tablet/PC to add a printer.
Note: Enable Bluetooth for an HP Smart app setup: Enable Bluetooth on your computer or mobile device so that HP Smart can detect the printer during the setup.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a great day ahead!

Hi Irwin6,
Thank you very much.
Unfortuanately the url https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_3967769-3956733-16 does not work. While trying to reset EWS, i still got the message ;
Er is een aangepast printerwachtwoord ingesteld. Voer het wachtwoord in of neem contact op met uw IT-beheerder voor toegang tot de webinterface van de printer.
