Hi! @harnagel,
Try the steps recommended below to uninstall the printer software from the root level on the PC and install the full feature printer software.
Uninstall the full feature printer software from root level on your PC and install the full feature printer software.
In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
Select your HP printer.
Select Uninstall.
In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
Click on Drivers tab.
Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click remove at the bottom.

Is the copy working fine?
If the copy is working fine use HP Print and Scan Doctor to check connectivity
Download a special version of HP Print and Scan Doctor.
-
Download HP Print and Scan Doctor.
-
Run HPPSdr.exe from the download location on your computer.
-
Once HP Print and Scan Doctor opens, click Start, and then select your printer.
-
If your printer is not in the list, turn it off and on and then click Retry.
-
If there is a connection problem, follow the instructions in HP Print and Scan Doctor.
-
-
If a screen prompts you to turn on printer updates, click Yes.
-
If a screen prompts you to make your printer the default printer, click Yes.
-
Try to print.
Keep me posted.
Have a great day!
Cheers 🙂

Hi! @harnagel,
Thanks for the update.
Remove the printer from devices and printer. And use the third-party software Revo uninstaller to uninstall the printer software from the PC.
You can download and install the software from the Google site.
Again Install the full feature printer drivers and check if it helps.
Take Care!

Im still having this problem, the software only partially uninstalls and installs. Ive tried the Revo uninstaller, I'ved used this before. I don't think I have windows drivers now. I can get the printer to print from the "inside" but not via other programs, it just locks up..I have a service agreement with HP but the person I talked to said she cant help be because it's a wireless connection (**bleep**??!!)

Thanks for the update.
I understand your concern. It sounds like an operating system issue.
Try reinstalling the operating system on the PC and install the printer software.
Hope this helps!
Take Care

This still does not work. My husbands laptop, in the same room, hooked up to the same wireless (Google Mesh) and printer as mine, WORKS. Did some kind of update mess me up?? Ive totally uninstalled the HP software. Is there something with my Google Mesh that is blocking it? It can't find the printer. My Windows 10 stuff works fine.
