HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer - N911g
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

10 months ago my printer stopped allowing me to use 3rd party ink. Its a really old printer and I dont want to waste money buying good quality HP inks when I know the printer could stop working any minute now. Screen displays the ink cartridge empty or damaged error. I know there isnt anything wrong with the printer because I managed to sneak one page through the error codes and it printed perfectly fine. I understand why HP want new printers to block 3rd party inks but my printer is so old it isnt worth blocking, I only use it for mass unimportant print jobs just until the printer breaks. Could I please have a firmware upgrade that unlocks my printer again please. Oh and dont say it isnt affected - its affected by something, so may I have the antidote please, thanks
