I have upgraded my HUb and now have a new network - Wifi name and password. The 9120b does not allow me any menus on the machine to "re-Set" the wifi. The machine is still looking for the old wifi network and has the blue light continuously flashing. The Printer is not broke - but simply does not have an easy way to do this..... no menus and no help found in all the apps and guidance... so far! Can anyone help - i cant imagine this is a one off case.

@PIN13063, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

Since your HP OfficeJet 9120b is still trying to connect to the old network and the blue wireless light is flashing, it means it's searching but not connecting.

Here’s how you can reset the wireless settings and connect to your new hub:

Option 1: Restore Network Settings via Printer Buttons

If the printer doesn’t show menus on the display, try this manual method:

  1. Power on the printer.
  2. Press and hold the Wireless button (📶) and the Cancel button () together for 5 seconds.
  3. This should restore the network settings to default, and the wireless light will start blinking slowly.

Now the printer is ready to be connected to a new network.

Option 2: Use HP Smart App to Reconnect

Once the network settings are reset, use the HP Smart app to reconnect:

Download the HP Smart app from:

Open the app and click “+” to add a printer.

The app should detect your printer in Setup Mode.

Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your new Wi-Fi network.

Alternative: Use WPS (if supported by your hub)

If your new hub supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup):

  1. Press the WPS button on your router.
  2. Within 2 minutes, press the Wireless button on your printer.
  3. The printer should automatically connect to the new network.
