I set up my new HP Envy 6555e - working properly and receives print jobs so I know internet connection is working. When I scan to email, appears to work based on prompts from printer but I never receive an email. I checked spam folder, did a hard reset, nothing.

Hi @chris20242024,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP Envy 6555e printer is connected properly and appears to be scanning and sending emails, but you're not receiving the emails in your inbox (or spam folder). This issue can sometimes occur due to misconfigured settings, incorrect email server settings, or problems with the email service. Let's go through some troubleshooting steps to help resolve this issue:
1. Check Your Email Settings on the Printer
Make sure that the printer is configured correctly to send emails. This often involves setting up an SMTP server on the printer for outgoing mail.
Go to the Printer's Control Panel.
Navigate to the Scan settings (this may be under "Apps" or "Scan to Email").
Verify that you have correctly entered the SMTP server settings for your email provider. The settings for popular email providers are as follows:
Gmail:
- SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
- Port: 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)
- Authentication: Yes
- Username: Your Gmail address
- Password: Your Gmail password (or App Password if 2FA is enabled)
Outlook/Hotmail:
- SMTP Server: smtp-mail.outlook.com
- Port: 587 (TLS)
- Authentication: Yes
- Username: Your Outlook/Hotmail email address
- Password: Your password (or App Password if 2FA is enabled)
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
