New HP printer not printing with OLD iMac running Mac OS 10.13

I am assisting a handicapped individual with an OLD 27" iMac running Mac OS 10.13. He unfortunately broke the paper tray one his old HP printer (He has bad motor control of his extremities) and now paper won't align correctly and refuses to print. We went last night and purchased an HP DeskJet 4255e at best buy, but the printer cannot install any software from 123etc. website and any attempt to find software elsewhere on HP website just says NO DOWNLOADS AVAILABLE. Attempted to Add Printer via Mac OS. OS recognized and the printer as HP 4200 series immediately, but unfortunately it still won't print. Looking at the printer in the OS, it shows a little green light saying it sees the printer and is correctly connected, but no joy when sending a print job. It will show the print job moving to the printer in the OS, but but then almost immediately the job just disappears. Any help getting this printer working would be extremely helpful.

1. Try to reset Printer System in MacOS, please follow steps from the next video:

2. After that, then Add Printer again with MacOS option.
