Installed a new printhead after cleaning did not fix the old one. New printhead with new ink cartridges, went in and was detected by the printer app I see on my PC fine. Ink levels all reporting full there and on screen on the printer. Printer screen says printhead is healthy. Rest of printer functions fine, scan etc. But it will NOT align and prints blank pages for diagnostics.

 

Possible that I need to clean something inside from a mess left by the old printhead, like the alignment sensor. But where IS the alignment sensor in this thing? I can't find any schematics.

Any other ideas welcome.

Hi Sayanne, sadly you wont receive much response here. I have attempt to ask my question and over a month nobody responded. Made a mistake myself buying a new 8620 printhead, and nobody helped here.

If you receive a response I also have seen it being deleted. Best advice I can give you is to get a new printer.
