I have a Envy 4500 printer. Works great. Got a new pc and when setting up printer HP can't find it on their list (due to the fact that they have retired it) How can I get it set up. Senior on fixed income and don't need new printer nor have money for one especially when this one works great.

@Out-Dated, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Setting Up Your HP ENVY 4500 Printer on a New PC!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Despite HP retiring the ENVY 4500 printer, it is still possible to set it up on a new PC. Below are step-by-step instructions to help you get your printer connected:
Download the Printer Software
- Visit the HP Support Website: Go to the HP Support page.
- Select Your Operating System: From the list of available drivers, select your operating system.
- Download the Drivers: Download the full-feature driver software package. If the full software package is not available, download the basic drivers.
Install the Printer Software
- Run the Installer: Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
- Connect Your Printer: When prompted, connect your HP ENVY 4500 to your PC via USB cable or set up the wireless connection.
Configure Printer Settings
- Set Up Wireless Connection (If applicable):
- On your printer's control panel, navigate to the wireless setup menu.
- Follow the prompts to connect the printer to your network.
- Complete Installation: Continue following the installation prompts until the installation is complete.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
