Hello,
We just purchased a new printer. Each time I try to complete the set-up process, I am met with the error message: "We are currently offline for maintenance. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please check back soon."
Can anyone tell me what this means? It seems odd that the printer setup app would be offline. Is it potentially an issue on my end, or is this a common error to encounter? Thanks in advance.

Hi @FondaSC,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're encountering a message like "We are currently offline for maintenance" while trying to set up your HP ENVY 6055 All-In-One Printer, it suggests that there might be an issue with HP's server or online services at that moment. This error typically indicates that the printer is unable to connect to HP's servers to complete the setup process. Here are some steps you can follow to resolve this issue.
- Check HP Server Status: Sometimes, the issue is on HP's end. You can check the status of HP's online services and servers by visiting the HP Support website or checking their social media channels for any updates on server outages or maintenance.
- Verify Your Internet Connection: Ensure that your printer is connected to the internet. If it's a wireless printer, check that it's connected to your Wi-Fi network. If it's a wired printer, make sure the Ethernet cable is properly connected.
- Restart the Printer: Turn off your HP ENVY 6055 printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. Sometimes, a simple power cycle can resolve connectivity issues.
- Update Firmware/Software: Ensure that your printer's firmware and software are up to date. You can check for updates in the printer's settings menu or on the HP website.
- Check Network Configuration: Make sure your Wi-Fi network is functioning correctly and that your printer is within range. Verify that the network credentials (SSID and password) you entered during setup are correct.
- Try a Different Time: If the issue persists, it's possible that HP's servers are temporarily down for maintenance or experiencing high traffic. Try setting up your printer at a later time.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
