I'm running Windows 10 64 bit and the Office Jet Pro 8620. I cannot configure my scan-to-email on the printer (keeps asking for a code). My printer is connected via Wi-Fi, and othewise is working fine. Following support instructions, I looked for the Printer Assistant, but there is no such program listed in my HP folder and no Printer Assistant desktop icon (although there used to be).
I've downloaded all the current updates and run Scan Doctor several times. No luck.
Any help is very much appreciated. Thank youl.

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP forum.
Please Uninstall and Reinstall the FULL feature software following these steps:
1. Uninstall the software in your computer
2. Download and save the FULL feature software (do not install it online)
http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-pro-8620-e-all-in-one-printer-series/53...
3. Install the FULL feature “Saved” software
Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
The following relevant resource should show you how to setup Scan to Email.

Hello, GreenTurtle,
Thanks for the quick reply. I've followed your instructions. After disconnecting the wireless connection and then using the Wireless Setup Wizard, everything re-installed properly. The proper icon appeared on the desktop and I was able to set everything up.
I'm very grateful to you for the help and fast response!

TO MANY STEPS TO COMPLETE THIS ACTION. IM AN AVERAGE COMPUTER USER, AND PROCEEDING TO DISCONNECT THIS AND THAT THEN RECONNECT IS OUT OF MY EXPERTISE. I DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING. I'M ALREADY HAVING ISSUES WITH THIS ALL IN ONE WINDOWS 10 AND I DON'T DO ANYTHING DESCRIBED. I CONTACT HP SUPPORT AND HAVE THEM DO CHANGES REMOTELY. CHANGING ONE THING I MESS UP SOMETHING ELSE. I HAVE NEVER ENCOUNTERED SO MANY ISSUES WITH THIS COMPUTER . EITHER ITS MY DRIVERS MY SOFTWARE, OR ITS WIRELESS OR THEN ITS WIRED WHAT IS IT. ETC. WITH MY WINDOWS XP EVERYTHING WAS SMOOTH SAILING. . ALSO WHEN I ENTERED A QUESTION OR KEYWORD .ALWAYS SHOWS GET HELP FOR YOUR WINDOWS 7 ETC OR WHEN I ENTER MY PRINTER NAME .DIALOGUE SHOW FOR PRINTERS I DON'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT..
