macOS 10.13 High Sierra

Hello,

I was excited to use my brand new Laser Jet HP MFP M234dwe and start getting to work but unfortunately I cannot use the printer I have just purchase because I am software locked out of my device. Normally I would just manually download and install the drivers but HP requires me to Use the HPSmart app to install drivers and use my printer.

I am currently running mac OS 10.13.6 on my machine and cannot upgrade further, HPSmart app required 10.14 and above to run and download the drivers.

I tried a work around I found on another thread which said to configure my device using macs airprint. It worked for a few pages until once again HP software locked me from using my device stating,

"Printer setup incomplete.
Your HP+ printer must be set up using the HP Smart app. Visit 123hp.com to download the app and complete the guided setup. Any pages you have printed were intended for setup and have been exhausted. If you completed setup, turn your printer off for a least a minute, then turn it back on. Wait a few minutes to let your printer status refresh and try to print again."

If my printer was set up and printing why am I now being blocked from doing so by HP software. Is there a way I can use my printer?

Is there a way to get the Drivers that I need to get the functionality of my printer back?
