According to the HP virtual assistant and Microsoft Copilot, it should be possible to scan a document via the panel of the HP Color LaserJet MFP M183fw. It was advised to update the firmware and software of the printer.
However still no Scan Menu via the panel of the HP Color LaserJet MFP M183fw.
2nd question: Is it possible to assign a scan function to 1 of the buttons on the panel of the HP Color LaserJet MFP M183fw?

Hi @Polleke67
This Laserjet model only scan using HP Smart software.
- Download HP Smart app from Microsoft Store:
- >> https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9wzdncrfhwlh?hl=es
Therefore is not possible to assign scan function to the buttons.
Please follow steps to scan from the next video:

* Click YES to say thank you,
* Click Accepted Solution when question is answered.

Thanks!
A pity that it is stated by the HP virtual assistant, Microsoft Copilot and Youtube vids, that is it possible via the panel for this model. Also to configure the scan settings like dpi, filetype, etc.
It makes fully sense to have a basic activity like scanning, available via the panel or via a dedicated button!
