I recall that at one time there was an “advanced” system settings option from within the web-based gui.  I don’t see that option now.  Did the “advanced” settings option get removed in a recent FW update?

Hi @CyclerGuy,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're not seeing the "Advanced" settings option in the web-based GUI for your HP LaserJet M15w, it is possible that a recent firmware update might have altered the interface or removed certain features. HP occasionally updates firmware and web interfaces which can result in changes to available settings and options.

Here are a few steps to address the situation and check for any changes:

1. Check the Firmware Version

  • Access the Web GUI: Open your web browser and enter the IP address of your HP LaserJet M15w to access the printer's web interface.
  • Find Firmware Information: Look for a section like "Device Information" or "About" to see the current firmware version.

2. Review Release Notes

  • Visit HP's official website or the support page for the HP LaserJet M15w.
  • Look for recent firmware updates and check their release notes or documentation. This may provide information on any removed features or interface changes.

3. Factory Reset

  • If you're experiencing issues and believe settings might have been altered incorrectly, consider performing a factory reset to restore default settings. Be aware that this will reset all settings to default, so you will need to reconfigure the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi and thanks for the quick response!

The configuration report for the HP LaserJet M15w shows a FW date code of: 20190725.

Although I could not find the HP support link for any Printer FW release notes.

Would you please send me that link?

Thankyou!
