I am trying to print a Word document that has a picture in color. I have no success, it all comes out in grayscale. I am using Microsoft Word for Mac version Version 16.94 (25020927) - subscription. I have changed the ink cartridges with no success in getting the document to print in color. I have barely printed 20 pages with this new printer and thought I was advancing my print capability and instead I am back to problems I had with printers 10+ years ago. I do not see any options to change to color from the printer control screen. I have done quality diagnostics along with a printer information report - all is clear and ready for printing. Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated.

@Angel56Halo, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding a printer issue!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It sounds frustrating to deal with this issue, especially with a new printer. Since you've already replaced the ink cartridges and run diagnostics, here are a few things to check:
Check Printer Settings in Word (Mac)
- Open your Word document.
- Click File > Print (or press Cmd + P).
- In the print dialog box, look for a "Color" option.
- If there’s an option to choose Grayscale or Black & White, make sure it is unchecked.
- Click Print.
Check System Printer Settings
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Select your HP ENVY 6065e.
- Click Options & Supplies and look for a setting related to color printing.
- If you see an option like "Print in Grayscale", make sure it is turned off.
HP Smart App Settings
- Open the HP Smart app on your Mac.
- Try printing from there instead of Word.
- Look for an option that controls color printing.
Reset & Reinstall Printer Drivers
- Remove the printer: System Settings > Printers & Scanners, select the printer and click Remove.
- Reinstall the latest HP drivers from the HP website.
- Add the printer again and test.
Firmware Update
- Sometimes, outdated firmware can cause issues. Check for updates in the HP Smart app or HP'support website.
Test Another Color Document
- Try printing a different document or a simple color test page (like a screenshot or photo).
- If it prints in color, the issue might be Word-specific.
If none of these work, let me know, and we can troubleshoot further!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
