Just upgraded to a new HP Windows 11 Laptop. I have a HP Envy 4527 alll-in one printer but the option to print in colour or double side is not available. Have installed manually, by HP Smart, followed previous similar issues with others and the advice given to them and advice that i can find on non HP forums. Please help, i dont want to have to buy another printer. This once is working fine

I have seen a few cases where the driver fails to detect all the printers features. On your computer, go to control panel>devices and printers and then right click on the icon for your printer and select "printer properties" from the drop down menu. Then click on the device settings tab, scroll down till you see device type and change from auto to color. Also find the 2 sided option and set to installed.
If you do not see these options it is possible that Windows has installed a MIcrosoft IPP driver which does not support color or duplexing in most cases.
I am a volunteer, offering my knowledge to support fellow users, I do not work for HP nor speak for HP.
