I have a Photosmart 5510 111e connected to wifi with static IP. The printer is allowed to go to sleep after a few minutes.
When I want to print something from a computer at home (both Win7 and Win10 64 the PC can never find the printer via network or direct. I must always at least switch off and on the printer again to print anything from even a HP-PC.
But when I want to print from my iPad or iPhone wia Photosmart it can always wake up the printer and do the job.
I can not see any settings justifying such behaviour from a HP-printer connected to a HP-PC with updated Win10x64 and updated HP-driver via an updated Zyxel Zyxel 8702 router.
I am very glad to be able to wake up and print from iOS 🙂
Any idea?
Regards
Espen

@Espen Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that you are unable to connect the printer with wifi.
Please restore n/w settings and reconnect the printer to the network
1. Turn off the Router, Printer, and computer/ mobile devices.
2. Wait for 60 seconds.
3. Turn on the Router first and wait for all the lights to stabilize.
4. Turn on the printer and allow it to configure itself.
Please try to change the static IP address and check for the issue.
I would suggest you try the Windows built-in drivers. Follow the steps below:
• Go to Control Panel - Devices and printers - Click on "Add printer" and follow the on-screen instructions.
• When the page prompts for the drivers, select "Windows update". The driver list will be updated.
• Click HP, Hewlett Packard, or Hewlett-Packard in the Manufacturer pane, and then click the name of your printer in the Printers pane.
