Hi @Harshiit19,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you are encountering the "No driver available" issue for an HP Smart 525 printer on MacOS via USB, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

  • Check for MacOS Updates: Ensure that your MacOS is up-to-date with the latest software updates. Sometimes, Apple releases new printer drivers through system updates, and having the latest version may resolve compatibility issues.
  • Check HP Website: Visit the official HP website (https://support.hp.com) and search for the specific printer model (HP Smart 525). Look for the "Drivers" or "Software" section and download the latest macOS-compatible driver for your printer. Install the driver and follow any on-screen instructions.
  • HP Smart App: Instead of using a separate driver, some HP printers work through the HP Smart app. Download the HP Smart app from the App Store, install it on your Mac, and follow the setup instructions to add your HP Smart 525 printer.
  • Use AirPrint (Wireless Printing): If you are unable to find a suitable driver for your HP Smart 525 on MacOS via USB, consider using the AirPrint feature for wireless printing. Make sure your printer and Mac are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, and then add the printer from the Printers & Scanners preferences. MacOS may automatically detect and install the necessary driver for AirPrint-compatible printers.
  • Reset Printing System: If you've tried installing various drivers and still face issues, you can try resetting the printing system on your Mac. Go to "System Preferences" > "Printers & Scanners," right-click (or Ctrl-click) on the list of printers on the left-hand side, and select "Reset Printing System." This action will remove all printers from your Mac. Afterward, re-add your HP Smart 525 printer and let MacOS attempt to find the appropriate driver automatically.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
