Available printer software depends on your supported Operating System / version and device.

In general, there are Full Feature Software / full driver printer software and applications for supported versions of Windows and possibly MacOS.

The HP Smart application is available for supported versions of Windows, MacOS, and Mobile devices running supported versions of iOS, iPadOS, or Android.

The following is relevant to recent supported versions of Windows.

NOTE:  Software is Model and Operating System version Dependent

In addition to the full driver printer software (Full Feature software and HP Scan), this printer supports the HP Universal Scan Software - a version of HP Scan that adds features that might be missing from the full driver.

NOTE:  At this writing, HP Universal Scan supports Windows versions:

Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Microsoft Windows 11

Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

 HP Universal Scan Full Feature Software adds OCR libraries to installed HP Scan software.  HPUS installs a new, full featured, (and separate) HP Scan software shortcut to the Desktop.

Note:  HPUS can be installed as standalone or installed after the full feature printer software.

After the software is installed, Restart the computer and sign in

HP Universal Scan Software provides a larger GUI to make using the software easier on high-resolution screens.   New features have been added to the main menu to help with navigating the settings.
