HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

No printer apps on my Officejet Pro 7740.  It says "unable to update the list of printer apps"

The printer is already running on the latest firmware version. And Web Service Settings is okay. Only the Apps that doesn't show at all.

Troubleshooting steps already performed:

  • Connected the printer to a mobile hotspot to rule out network-related issues
  • Performed a Factory Default Reset
  • Executed a semi-full reset (service-level reset)
  • Disable and enabled Web Service Settings
    • On/Off of apps
  • Used Common DNS like Google and Cloudflare
  • Downgrade and Upgrade Firmware
  • Install all HP Apps and tried Re-setup

Hi @Meghana_10,

I’m referring to the  apps available once Web Service Settings are enabled. If I’m not mistaken, these include features such as Scan to Email, Dropbox, Google Drive, and similar services. Please see screenshots below.

@Meghana_10

We only have one printer, so it’s difficult for us to send it to the service center since we use it for daily operations. That’s why I’d like to check all possible solutions first before deciding if it’s worth sending in for repair.

Would you mind checking if there’s an option to downgrade the firmware back to the previous version?

We already encountered this issue before after updating to the latest firmware, and it was resolved by manually updating the firmware via flash drive. I still have the .ful2 file (P1_002.2349) that was previously used, but I’m unable to replicate the process they did before.

Thank you.
