ENVY 6055
macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Not able print in color on the ENVY 6055. Why? It prints Black & White OK. Color is not a option in the Print dialog box

@denniswk99, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

I understand you are not able to print in color from your Mac. To assist you better,

  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
  • Try making a standalone color copy from the flatbed glass and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your Mac.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Also, check for any software updates on Mac

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.

 

Perform the steps mentioned in this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues

Check the ink levels, clean the color ink cartridge up to 2 times and print a test page to check the result. 

Note: Remove the black ink cartridge before cleaning the color ink cartridge to save black ink.
